Rob,

I’m definately going to get one of those Scud action figures in NYC but are you actually going to be there? I’d buy a bunch if you were there to sign them… Also are they still releasing Scud action figures to stores? im confused cause they say theyre limited to 400 but i thought they were releasing them to comic shops…. are there different figures coming out?

The internet is a weird emotional place. I have to say, Rob, that some of your hostility on this blog has shown through at times and has made me question my high school inspiration. Certainly you have a natural right to be angry at the nerds out there who can’t verbalize their criticism. But sometimes your anger has felt misdirected towards unsuspecting nerds saying somethin’ like “Wouldn’t it be cool if you made Scud do X in the next issue?” out of a fondness for the character and not necessarily suggesting what you’re doing is crap. And then I felt like you abandoned Scud for Hollywood and Sarah Silverman. I mad mixed feelings about the guy I looked up to artistically for so much of my youth.

But this string of video posts really redeems yourself with me. I really appreciate how sincere you seem and honestly explaining yourself having one of those bad days.

I have 21 and 22 and I laughed out loud to see “TENNAPEL” as a sound effect.

I still wear my SCUD shirt from High School on occasion. I wasn’t old enough for a credit card back then, but I distinctly remember writing a check from my own book of checks that was always in my parents posession.

I’m looking forward to the end and the future.

Woah, that dude was right; that Duncan Bros. ‘Crystal Tape’ video was awesome (Their ‘Overdrift’ is fucking HILARIOUS). They actually sound a lot like a young Schrab and Harmon (‘Dead Alewives’ era) in this one.
