New Blog section added!
Hello, Everyone!
As you can see there’s a new blog here. I’ll be updating you to new junk I’m working on, stuff I’d like to bitch about and my favorite TV show and movies.
Lots of new additions have been happening here at Robschrab.com and it’s all thanks to my good friend Stuart Robertson (check out his web page in the LINKS section).
-What am I working on now?
Still working on the Sarah Silverman program for Comedy Central (I believe a clip of the pilot was leaked to Youtube.com). I’m writing, producing and directing more than half of the first six. We are hoping to be on the air sometime this fall. I’ll keep you posted on all the dirt before that happens.
-Speaking of Sarah, I just shot a T-Mobile “Sidekick3” web commercial with Sarah this weekend. I’ll let you know wher that is.
-What’s up with Scud?
Shocker Toys wants to do an action figure (cool!) so be on the look out for that (I’ll let you know when).
I may do a reprint of the Scud books ( I’m missing a bunch myself). There’s some business crap that may interfere but keep the faith.
Check out www.channel101.com! Harmon and I are producing a pilot for VH1 based on our underground tv internet-work. Lots of great stuff. I just shot a Airwold-esque dog fight this weekend (Made the models -badass!). Sevan Najarian (House of Cosbys, Death Cab for Cutie-Crooked Teeth video) is editing.
-Robot Bastard DVD?
Biggest priority AFTER Sarah’s show is done. Lots of extras and a fan art section full of kick ass art. (If you want to submit, there’s still time. Just email a JPG to rob@robotbastard.com).
All for now. Love the New Doctor Who (Old one too) and Art School Confidential sucked. Hopee Monster House doesn’t embarass me and wish I could find more grindhouse, robot, monster movies from the 70’s.
talk later,
Rob
Thanks Rob – it’s been great working with you on the site and getting a peek at some of the behind the scenes stuff.
Looks great Rob…looking forward to all this stuff!
Oh…”Airwold-esque dog fight”...is that supposed to be Airwolf? I hope so cause Airwolf rocks my socks. Can’t wait.
Rob you are one of the best at what you do which is create inventive original art that leaves me waiting for what you will do next. I only whish you would write more screenplays, you as a writer/director I feel is definately your true calling. Thanks for inspiring me to strive to do new things and break the mold myself.
SWEET ACTION! First John Kricfalusi finally starts his own, and now YOU’ve got an official “blog”. LOVIN’ it. I WILL do a Robot Bastard piece for the DVD, a follow-up to my envelope (that kinda rhymed…). Until then, thanks repeatedly for the Twigger and R&M DVDs, and good luck on all your current and future projects; I look forward to ALL of them.
~Ethan
I am in love with all this stuff, and will happily add a Robot Bastard! DVD to my R&M and TH DVDs, but I hope I’m not alone in saying that I want the Scud book more than anyhing, simply because I’ve seen the other stuff and have never been able to read more than one issue of Scud.
I will buy a Robot Bastard DVD. And I would kill like… 4 people for a Scud toy. I don’t know why i said 4, its just an arbitrary number. I’ll do more if you want.
Rob, you are my idol. That’s all I can say.
Possible action figure? Possible reprints?
You have no idea how happy that possibly makes me.
Is The Sarah Silverman Program coming out in the Fall or Summer?
I belive in you ROB! I have faith that you can get the scud reprints made. I know how much people are willing to pay for them because i just saw an auction of scud books on Ebay that went for $172. Keep up the good work!
Just caught the TV ad for Monster House. Looks good so far. Nice to see the names of you and Dan on the screen.
A scud reprint would be the coolest—Could the Yellow Horseman be printed on glossy stock? It’s a nitpick but I love the other TPB’s stock so much. Also, could the Tattoo from Programmed for Damage be remade as well? I can’t find mine. If I ever got a tattoo, that would be it. Thanks!
thank you for your work
